A long time ago, I used to blog.
About crafts, home renovations, my kids… all of it.
Then my life changed. I got divorced, had to go back to work, and move out on my own. And blogging wasn’t as urgent as it had once seemed.
Since then, life has changed again. I’ve met a wonderful man to share my life with, and I’ve expanded my little family by two; my new husband and the daughter that he brought into ours lives.
Now we are beginning our life together, and beginning to build our families homestead. And suddenly I am crafting, and planning for renovations, and finding the energy and drive to post about my kids lives again.
I tried to start blogging again a few months ago, but couldn’t seem to find the right platform for it… and who knows… maybe even this one won’t stick, but lets hope for the best.
Right now, our family is in a moment of transition. My husband is recently discharged from the military due to injuries/disabilities he sustained on his last deployment – the one during which we were simply pen pals. While going through the process of determining his retirement and disability details, we’ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to live with my family. But the time has come, he’s moved onto the next chapter of his life with a new job, and now our wedding is behind us… So we start our house-hunt. We have spent the last 2 months laying the ground work for finding a home at the end of 2013, so we hope to have updates about moving and decorating, and finding our footing as a new family of 5 to share before too long.
In the meantime, I’ll try to keep you occupied with the general musings of life with our crazy little family… and lots of pictures, because I simply can’t help myself when it comes to pictures.
